Pizza Sauce


Originally developed to top our favorite Detroit Style Pan Pizza, this easy pizza sauce comes together in a snap. It also freezes well, to have on hand for later!

Pizza Sauce

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp oregano
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt, or to taste

Instructions
 

  • In a small sauce pan on medium heat sauté the garlic in the olive oil for one minute, or until very lightly toasted.
  • Combine all remaining ingredients and bring to a low simmer. Cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Use to top your favorite pizzas.
    Store any remaining sauce in the refrigerator for one week, or freeze to enjoy later.
